Mission
Warm and amicable welcome to परमार्थ, The social club of IET Lucknow.
परमार्थ aims to bring about a positive change in the society for the upliftment of the needy and the downtrodden which are the highly neglected sector of the society.
The large section of population residing in metropolitan cities are slum dwellers who are of least priority in this busy world.
Children residing there just ramble around and often fell into deep well of illiteracy, unemployment,misery that leads to meager lifestyle.
Having said that, Children are the torch bearers of the society and future of nation, but we often tend to overlook a major portion of that future which never seemed so bright. At परमार्थ, we put forth an effort to ensure the provision of broader skies and give them the wings for their flight of success.
Children are like earthen pots that can be moulded easily with a tool called education. Education has all the capabilities to transform one’s life. We at परमार्थ act as their potters with the clay on the wheel of education and try to mould out vessels baked in the sunlight of hardwork.
About Parmarth
परमार्थ-The social club of IET LUCKNOW is a chain of exuberant devotion and commitment and blend of helping hands and noble souls, is a small effort where the mentors enlightens the path of tiny toddlers to bring a large reform.
परमार्थ is a joint effort to make a difference, to bring revolutionary change. The club laid its foundation on 6th September 2015 and is blessed to get countless opportunities to serve the needy ones through various club activities.
Today, club is well structured with more than 200 volunteers from all the streams and courses are associated with the club every year. Nearly 150 children visit us in evening on a regular basis for their education.
Imparting regular education to them is now termed as LT teaching. Besides this we work with 3 more wings, viz Girls Education wing, Schooling wing and Social Service wing. In Girls Education wing, we impart education to teenage girls and women of slums in their huts, herein girls volunteers of club impart sociological and behavioural knowledge along with elementary education.
In the schooling wing we ensure that quality education is imparted to the kids for the same we assist our toddlers on various fronts of School admission, Right To Education (RTE) is one of those, it empowers the poor section and ensure their kids a quality education. परमार्थ served as a link between government and deserving from past 6 years. It works on all fronts i.e pre admission, admission and post admission.
In Social service wing, prime emphasis is on social front for upgrading life of slum dwellers and creating a positive impact in society. Various activities such as cleanliness event, cloth distribution event, blood donation event, medical camps, etc are organised regularly to meet the tryst of परमार्थ.
Membership
Being the social club, following requisites are ought to have in ones persona :
- Must be willing to serve the society
- Punctual in teaching to the tots
- Dedication for the assigned work
